Hello, I know most people here will laugh at me but I have a grape that was suppose to be a table grape . Don't remember the name. I planted grapes and they died, so I threw them in a compost pile. Well the next year grapes came up. This year they had grapes. Well I have never seen grapes like these. Some people said they were wine grapes. I still have my doubts. Anybody here that can identify them for me?

That does not look like any grape I've ever seen! White flesh? Do you have any pictures of a whole one and the leaf?

Like you I have never seen grapes like this. I've heard of possum grapes but these don't even look like them. I don't know what they are.

I'm betting that's a porcelain vine berry. I googled and looked at lots of vines, and while most had deeply indented leaves I ran across a few with more grape like leaves. The kicker was on this page near the bottom when it says how to tell porcelain vine from wild grapes. Porcelain berries are white inside. Also note these are considered invasive in most areas, despite several garden centers that sell them.

Thank you! I would be willing to bet that's what it is. At least now I can cut it down and plant back a real grape vine. Now I just have to find the best one for my area. Thanks again!

Where are you located? I'm sure someone here can help provide recommendations for your area if we know it.
