There is a antique all metal cider/wine/lard press for sale for $170.00 in my area. The size of the basket is 8" X 8". This sounds SMALL to me. Is it????? I am looking at making 5-6 gallon (total liquid) batches of wine mostly using blueberries, blackberries, chokecherries, etc. Looking if this well work and is price OK?

Yeah i would pass too. If you search the web - for the same price you can get a bigger better one.

Thank you...... Those were my thoughts but I thought I would ask, Just in case. My neighbor has a very large home made one for sale but it is not complete and too big.
Thanks again.

Yep, theres too big and too small. With most presses too small is actually better then too big as too big and it just wont operate but with too small you just have to fill it more then once. The #20 is probably perfect for you.
