I just picked up some riesling plants because they were a killer price. They are in 3 inch pots right now BUT I'm moving in April. So, what should I do? These plants are current year old. Should I repot them in larger containers for he next full year? Can I transplant them from their current containers into the ground in April/May next year? They're grafted if that matters, very healthy rootstock.

We do not know where you are located. But in general you can:

1. Try to keep the plants dormant until April. Store them in a dark and cold place and do not water them too much.
2. Repot them to larger pots and put them outdoors when spring comes. The vines may grow some in spring. This is safer, but clear more cost and more work.

I would not want to plant them in ground, them dig up again in one or two months. Between the above two, I do not think they make any big differences since April is still early for the growing season.

Plant them in ground whenever you find them the permanent home. Container plants are not happy plants.
