What new Wine Toys (or other toy) does everyone want for Christmas? No, I'm not looking for shopping ideas.

I asked for some Carboy Covers. I got 3 batches right now that I could set outside and cold stabilize to help clear and create wine diamonds to get out some acid.

Also asked that if they get me anymore kits, that I get another Lodi, Old Vines Zin.......... Good stuff.

A friend of mine wanted me to help him learn to make wine. He has done well so I got him a floor corker from George, he'll like that.

So what's everyone else wishing or asking for?

The only thing that I would be interested in having would be a 5 gallon oak barrel to age some wine in. Mostly I just need to make more red wines.

I'm wishing for a friend like Jobe05! None of my friends like me well enough to spend that kind of $ on a gift for me! Come to think of it, my friends don't have that kind of cash to spend on me. I need new friends!
All I want for Christmas is our children to be happy and Bert and me to finally bite the bullet and order new kitchen cabinets.

I hope Santa brings me a six pack of Grolsch beer bottles, full of course, their great for early wine drinking. You don't drink wine out of the bottle?

We usually treat ourselves pretty good all year...so when Christmas comes it's hard to find anything that we need...there are things we want.
Peace on Earth would be nice.

I'll do my part for you, NW. My Happy children won't go out starting any conflicts. In fact,Bert and I will stay out of all that stuff, too.

We are in the same category as Northern. We really don't need anything, and our wish list keeps growing. I usually exchange wine gifts with our friends. This year I've agreed that my husband gets an older sports car he has been drooling over for a while. He will pick it up next weekend. I'll probably put a big red bow on it.

"Peace on Earth would be nice" isn't that what the Miss America contestants wish for also? I'd love to be a judge. Merry Christmas

Same here NW.
I'm trying to finish my automatic vacuum degasser. And want a refractometer but I don't care if any gifts are exchanged as long as peace, balance and happiness exist in my home.Edited by: scotty

I'd love to get a good refractometer or lab quality PH Meter.

I'd like an instrument rack made of something you can clean and sanitize that would hold a thermometer, wine thief, hydrometer, spoon, siphon, bottle filler, and everything else small so I had a place to put them as I cleaned and sanitized them so they would be ready to use. Anyone know of such an animal?

Joan: Are we Brother and Sister in another life?

I swear, I was in Target last night with my son doing some xmas shopping and I saw these wire baskets that hang up under the sink or in your closet that hold small items, they had different shape holders for different things. But there was a rectangular one, about 5" deep and 12" wide. I was looking at it thinking I put it inside the sink (laundry type sink) with hangers over the edge so it can't spill out, and when I clean up, I can throw all the little stuff in there and it will soak. All in one neat tidy place.

We're at least cousins, Jobe!

I'm working on a label for the chardonnay that's en route to me right now and I swear it makes me think of you! I'll post it when it's done and you tell me if you like it, k?

Strange stuff!

I like leaving the tools scattered throughout the house, a little in every room, of course no matter where I am , what I need is somewhere else.

As for presents, I much rather give them , always been a lot easier and more enjoyable to me. Not a good receiver I guess, makes me uncomfortable.Edited by: JWMINNESOTA

I would like Jobe and all you other southern folks to send all of us in the north some of your great warm weather. I would rather have 30's 40's and 50's in the winter than -10 to -20 or worse! It's getting too darned expensive to stay warm anymore! I guess I will have to implement some of my ways of heating a house cheaply soon! The only problem is you need to spend money to save money.

OK.......... I've got some warm air boxed up and will get it shipped on Tuesday. You should see it by Friday. Now it's a small box and I'm sure it will dilute some, it may not be 75 degrees when it arrives. But it should be enough to get you up a few degrees.

Now if we can get Waldo, Smurf, Ramona and other to send you some, you'd be in good shape..................................

However NOT GEORGE!!!!!!!! He'll have Mark box it up and ship it and before ya know it....................... A TON OF WHITE STUFF!!!!
