So we are looking at getting a van - either a 2008 Dodge Caravan or a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. They are pretty much similiar - but that does not always mean the feel and ride the same way.

Does anybody own either of these and have opinions good or bad that they would share?

Sorry Jon,

Can't help you, we drive a Jeep and a Sliverado.

If they are priced pretty close and have close mileage, Then go with the Townand Country unless the color is horrible or other cosmetic issues. The Chrysler whould have a larger engine than the standard caravan and come with nicer finishings. It all comes down to personal preference.

Good luck with your decision. Also, does the chrysler have power sliding doors? the caravan might not. we loved our power sliding doors.

I had an older Dodge. Liked the truck, ran well, drove well. On some of the gravel roads around here it was not quite tall enough and would hit the grader ridges. Not high ridges, but would hit occasionally. It served me well as a work truck for a couple of years. Bought the wife a chevy venture for driving back and forth to work. She loves it. The chevy does not ride quite as nice and is not near as quiet. Picks up road noise. Sits a little highter than the dodge, does not hit on the gravel roads. Gets much better gas milage, tho. My 2 cents. the Dodge was late 90's model and the Chevy is a 2001. Arne.

Ilike the Chryslers. They are an upgrade from Dodge. They will have more "toys" for you and better seats etc..

I had a Dodge caravan before and after a few years they start having trouble with the heating system in it you could not drive it very far in the winter time without freezing
