Finally broke down and got a new / bigger press. I've been using a little tabletop fruit press, but it just needed to be reloaded too many times to do 5 gallon must buckets. This one is bigger and heavier with a 5 gallon capacity and will handle all of the grapes from two buckets at one time, which I pretty much my speed based on my current production plan.

Congrats! :HB

I don't do grapes but feel I can still appreciate a fine piece of wine making equipment when I see one. Hope your new press gives you a lifetime of trouble free performance.

Nice, but if you lived in Texas. It would be BIGGER! Everything is BIGGER in Texas!!! :)

Actually, this gigantic screw and lever wine-press is located in Gussago, Italy Congrats on your new press! Some day, I hope to start making wine from grapes.
