Got to drink commercial wine still while I play with my batches. A friend suggested a nice crisp young slightly bubbly white wine called a vheno verde (5$ a bottle). We went on a field trip to get it today at lunch. I kept it in the truck this afternoon for about 4.5 hours. I had the sun shade up, parked in the shade and left the windows open but it hit 100F again today. WhenI got in the truck this eve one bottle had pushed the cork 1/2 way out and the rest we bulging against the plastic wrappers
. I drove home in fear of popping a bottle hehe
. I am cooling 5 bottles to room temp now with plans to move to fridge in the morn. I iced one down and am drinking it now. I like the bottle I am having now but am wondering if I have affected the wine and maybe should go get more this weekend to compare? What do you think?
