Many of you may know that in May of this year, we lost our wonderful Gina, a white Standard Poodle, to cancer. Louie, our apricot Miniature Poodle was lost without her and we were very worried about him. We got him a new "little brother" and his name is Carlo. He is a gray Miniature Poodle (yes, we love Poodles) and they are becoming the best of friends.

It is good that they're getting along so well.

Love dogs but haven't been around many poodles.

Winston Churchill said, “I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.”

"thepetwiki" quoted it a little different and added some more about animals...

  • Dogs look up to you. Cats look down on you. Give me a pig. He just looks you in the eye and treats you like an equal.
  • There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.
  • No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.
  • An old proverb there is, and that most true--a living dog is better than a dead lion.

Wiki said he owned over time several cats and a poodle named Rufus. His ever having owned a parrot is in dispute.

They are so much fun. This is yet another puppy that was "unwanted" by his former owner. The little guy had a habit of messing on the floor. Seems he could not open the door and let himself out. We have had him for a few weeks now and he has not had a single problem. He is so happy now and is receiving attention for the first time.

Poodles are great dogs. That is why people mix them with everything
Cockapoo labradoole etc

They are to dang proud to own but want everything about them

Best dog I ever hunted with was a standard poodle

Thank you Rocky for getting a rescue. It so bothers me that these idiots go out and get a puppy cuz it is just cute to have one. They are cute but like our children they also need us to give them some attention!

Congrats Rocky on the new addition. Rescue animals are the most loving and grateful pets you can own. It's a win-win situation.
