I was looking through some old photos and found this one from 1992. This is my dad (face blotched so he does not kill me for posting this). Yup that is an 8 foot steel pipe he used to "get every bit out" of the grapes. It is funny to note how he cranked that thing to hard, there was about a 2 foot bend in the pipe.

I Know, I Know, this is amazingly bad.
But, this was the "way he did things growing up".

SHHHHHHHEEEEEEZE, how far we have come! Very surprised the small basket press held up!

Maybe the pipe was so long so he could get all of you kids lined up to push. lol

Now THAT would have made for a great photo!

Believe it or not, the feet of the press did have holes. My dad drilled the concrete pads and banged in some anchors.
 
So what is it that your Dad is holding in his right hand? :i
