Aside from making two batches and blending how would you go about imparting a subtle peach taste and smell to a Riesling kit wine (RJS VdV)?

My thought is to use canned peaches. Add the sliced peaches to the primary and save the juice for back sweetening. Would this work? How much peach would you use? Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks…

I think one can per gallon would work. make sure you use betonite . peach will result in protein haze. betonite during ferement will aid in clearing later.

Gotcha. The kit comes with Bentonite. Thankfully I was already clued in on the use of Bentonite when I recently made a peach DB variation.

Sounds like a good thought Bill.

I want to try this because of how much my wife and my cousin liked a peach Riesling wine that they tried with a restaurant meal back in August. I tried a small taste from my wife's glass and even though I don't generally cotton to white wines I also kinda liked that peach Riesling.

If Riesling is normally a dry wine maybe both the peaches and juice should go in the primary? I can't remember if the peach Riesling at the restaurant was dry or perhaps a little off-dry.

Update... Just asked my wife and she said because she liked it the wine had to be off-dry.
