Started a peach wine Monday with fresh ripe peaches.

Used Waldo's recipe and things are going good.

Smells like peaches all over the house since I left the primary in the back room because of the extreme heat in the barn.

Started with a 4 gallon batch with the SG at 1.1. It is now 1.059 and moving along. Punch it down and stir it up 3-4 times a day.

Looking forward to this wine - in time. Also, going to start a blackberry/black currant blend soon. Never have done much on fruit wines so this is a new fun experience.

Good luck to all.

Welcome to FRUIT winemaking. 1.100 is just a tad high shoot for 1.085-1.090.

BTW, watch the gravity I started mine @ 1.090 and in 36 hours it was 1.015.

Keep us posted..

What yeast did you use?
