If this rain keeps up the way it has been the past couple of weeks, we will have to consider building an ark!

It really has been bad. We here have had rain 28 out of the last 33 days. It's been really hard for people to go flounder gigging.

we are in a stage 2 drought here...restricted to watering on mondays and thursdays...no car washing, swimming pool filling, etc...
we need rain....and it is hot as heck.

that was like us last year, this year we are below adv. temp and about 10+ inches of rain above norm... we like it.:h

Nowhere in the state of North Carolina is now under drought conditions.

All of you need to thank me for buying a pool, it works better than cloud seeding!

up herein the great northeast last week in 1 day we got 1.94 in of rain in one day.

Since june 1st we have had 9.27 inches of rain.
That is 5.22 inches more than last june.
All this rain is just perfect since I just put a pool in for my kids.
And it has meant many, many rounds of wet golf!

Most of North Carolina has been in drought since 2010 and now there is no drought anywhere in the state. There is much flooding with many homes damaged and washed out roads or collapsed roads.

Over ten inches of rain here in the month of June. I think that is about a whole summer's worth for us. Just imagine if this was snow!!! :snw :<

I hear you Sammyk. There are trees down in our neighborhood. No winds per se, just water logged tree trunks giving way. Our yard is looking pretty decent though, that is when I get to mow it :h

Long July 4 weekend is looking like a washout here. I love the regular rains and I will not complain a bit. We are just emerging from a 5-year drought of varying severity. It got pretty bad toward the end, as cumulative effects of shortage took hold.

It is so nice to see everything green and not burned up, to see the long development of flowers rather than rapidly fading blooms, and not to have to water the landscape every other day.
