Anyone in the Raleigh area? I should know by the end of the day if I'll be heading out of town on business next week. If I am and I have my choice, I'll be driving my own vehicle.

Doug, check out some of the wineries while you are there.

NC Visit

Doug, if you can, take 79 South to 77 South. Once you get into NC on 77 you will find loads of wonderful wineries. If you could spend a night in Elkin, NC you would find a nice group of spots. 77 intersects with 40, which heads straight to Raleigh.

Here is info about NC wineries.

I hope your trip goes well.

Is it just you or are you bringing your wife, if she's coming let us know we'll try to hook up otherwise have fun....j/k but you probly will go down 85 instead David and a few others are out Raleigh way might coud meet up with them they're good people and all.

Unfortunately I will be by myself. I thought Elkin was where we met up, though I wasn't positive. As of now, I'm leaving the Burgh on Tuesday morning, will be working Wed 8:30-5:30 and Thursday 8:30 -1:30. I will likely head for home immediately after I'm done on Thursday. Google is putting the trip at 8 hours so I'm guessing reality with minimal stops will be around 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 hours. From Elkin we were only abt 6.5 hours from home.

Well it would appear that my journey will be taking me 79 => 19 => 77 near the Winston/Salem exit then east into Raleigh. GPS is saying it will be abt a 7 1/2 hour drive this route.

Sirs, we should try to get together and I'll bring you down a bottle of each version of the Muscadine we made from the grapes you provided last year. I still have your # and can give you a call when I'm getting into the area if you're interested. I'll put the wine in the car for the trip.

sounds like a good idea the wife goes to work at 1 so would be about right to meet you just off 40 in winston somewhere maybe for lunch or something
