Hi all, I remove the labels from my wine bottles with my Sous Vide machine.
Set the temperature to 190 Deg.
Put bottles in for 30 minutes.
Please use tongs and cloths to handle bottles.
Remove bottle, drain water and labels peel off fairly good.
I still have to scrape off the glue on some (25%) but if you do this while the bottles are still hot, the glue comes off easily.
Added benefit, any residue in the bottles gets dissolved or comes out during wash.
I wash off any remaining residue and bottles are very clean.
You still have to sanitize before bottling.

Hope that help someone.Label Removing 1.jpgLabel Removing 2.jpgLabel Removing 3.jpgLabel Removing 4.jpg

That is a great idea! That never occurred to me. This is despite that I have been doing sous-vide cooking for over a decade, AND a friend who manages many old rental properties years ago told me his secret for removing paint from, e.g., escutcheons and doorknobs: throw it into an old crockpot overnight.
