George grew up in Vidor Texas just 10 miles from the home I grew up in. We (the citizens of Beaumont, Texas) wanted to name the Interstate Bridge over the Neches River separating Beaumont and Vidor the George Jones Memorial Bridge. a group of vocal non drinkers protested saying they would never name a bridge or anything else after an alcoholic. So much for forgiveness and tolerance.

tony, I used to frequent that area. I went to a Dow Jones printing plant down there and a metal processing facility in the big steel plant.
