Hello,

I was getting ready to siphon my viognier into my carboy but when I took my SG it is reading 1.200 where in the instructions it says 1.010.. what could cause this? Should I still siphon it into the carboy?

Recheck your SG. You probably have 1.020 wich is just above 1.010. Give it another few hours and you will be right where you want.

If it were really 1.2 you would have doubled the original sugar which is very unlikely if it is fermenting.

Its a very easy mistake to misread. It sounds like you are right where you need to be
