I'm going hunting this weekend and Saturday started a batch of skeeter pee. Sunday morning it looked like it was fermenting so i added all of the Real lemon. fermentation stopped. Stirred twice daily Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Added a yeast starter Tuesday night. Last night I set the heat at 76 and this morning it is going like crazy. It is now on its own i wont be able to stair at it for the next 4 days.

I had a very low sg. added 2.5 lb of sugar to 5 gal and my sg was 1.065.

No No No. Go to Skeeterpee.com and get Lon's recipe. I would not have have introduced the last amount of reallemon until the Sg was around 1.050. You could have let it go on it's own for a couple of days with no problem if ferentation was active. Try and follow Lon's recipe to the tee until you have mastered it then you can variate and customize to your own.

You are probaby going to be alright anyway...I am sure Lon will weigh in here shortly.

It sounds like you're off and running. Once you have an active ferment going, the beverage is quite forgiving. Make sure you've added all the yeast nutrient and energizer before you leave and give it a really good stir; it should be fine until you return.

batch number 2 on the way. My first batch has not finished and i just started my second batch of skeeter pee per the instructions..

On homebrewtalk they have a tally of apfelwein. Is there a place to log our gallons of skeeter pee? 11 for me
