Just piched yeast and started my skeeter pee do i need to seal my primary and put a air lock on it or can i just lay my lid on top

I lay my lid on top with a dish towel draped over it.

Others don't even use a lid and simply fasten a dish towel to stay on it with tape or elastics or bungee cords.

SP needs oxygen in the primary :)
 
Only time for an airlock is when you rack off the gross lees and SG is < 1.000
 
Ok i will start my stiring tomarrow morn as i work a 7 to 7 midnight shift. I did have time for a quick glance today though before i left and i could here a slight fizzing sound already
