So we now have bottled wine. Just a couple questions
Added K-Meta 1/4 tsp and Sorbate 2 1/2 tsp to a 5 gallon batch then back sweetened with simple syrup.
waited 2 weeks then bottled.
How long should you leave the bottles standing up, before lying on their sides? Used LD Carlson corks.
Can the wine be drank anytime after you bottle, or should you give it a little time to sit? Sounds like a stupid question but with the chemicals and syrup added didn't know if there was a wait period to consume.
We made a Merlot, Reisling, and a Isabella Blackberry 5 gallons each from Walkers Hot packs all started in October. Back sweetened the Reisling and Isabella Blackberry, and not sweetening the Merlot which is still in the carboy bulk aging.
