Black rot or anthracnose. Get some mancozeb and powdered sulfur , that might help save your crop. Next year follow a strict spray schedule. I think it will be very hard to grow organic in your area.

Thanks again. Sorry for the short reply earlier, had a pop-up blocking my writing area. I’m definitely not going organic. I’ve been spraying with liquid seven up until about two weeks ago, when the heavy rains started. Next year I will stick to a stringent spray regimen.

Sevin is an insecticide, only. It will not provide any fungal protection.

It looks to me like downy mildew. I have been fighting it in my Notth Eastern Virginia vinifera. I’m also seeing it in my Vidal in the Southwestern Virginia vineyard.

If your vines are producing, do not use Mancozeb, it has a 66 day pre harvest interval. Use Captan and sulfur but don’t use sulfur if the daytime temperatures are above 85 or 90. You can also try copper spray but don’t mix it with Captan (I think). Check on that.

Anyway, you MUST spray vinifera grapes in Virginia. I spray every seven days and every 14 days for my hybrids.
