Going to be starting this kit today, any pointers?

Just follow the instructions, especially until you become experienced.
Keep the temperature up in the mid 70'sF to get started; it will go up much higher on its own after fermentation starts, but don't worry about it. It should finish out fine.

Follow the directions, take good notes and lastly........ don't rush it into the bottle or rush to drink it!
 
Just noticed that is a 10L kit.

May not be the best Cab Sauv you have ever tasted but it will be a wine that you made which always seems to taste good!
