The weather decided to be half way descent today so I decided to scoop the grill out of a drift and put some baby back ribs on . I started with a dry rub last night, then followed up by grilling and into the oven set at a low temp. Maybe some nice mixed veggies to go along with them ( Got to stay healthy don't you know )!!

Pretty sure there will be some wine along the way too!! ( before, during, and after dinner ?? )

That better not be a gas grill under those ribs......

Anything other than smoked over Pecan, Mesquite, Hickory etc would be........

Sacrilegious!

But they still look great!

That looks great! So, to get to your house, do I take a right or left at the stop sign?

My gawdd, im slobberin all over my keyboard !!! Them shore do need a big pot of baked beans with jalapenos to accompany them

It helps to live where they are grown! That looks slurpilicious! Oh Man! I was tempted to use the grill last weekend when it made it to 39 degrees, but the two foot snow drift on top of itput the freeze onthat thought!

So, how was dinner? What did you drink as you enjoyed those great looking ribs?

Nice piggy..............

My intent is to slow smoke some of those critters on Sunday. I want them to come off the pit just in time to chow down for the NFC Championship game. SO I am going to start early on Sunday morning start the fire at 9am get them ribbies a smoking with some hickory or pecan. I have cherry too so that might be an option. Nonetheless its gonna happen... Cole slaw, baked beans or potato salad.... I can feel my arteries hardening already.....

Dinner was great!!!

I had the ribs on the grill with some apple wood for 1 hour, then had to move them indoors to the oven when I ran out of propane. ( yes mike they were on a gas grill )

they were in the oven at 225 for about 3 hrs. the last hour I put BBQ sauce on them and let them cook. They were finger-lickin, lip smackin, fall off the bone tender Gooooood!!!

We did have a glass of a commercial wine before we ate ( I am trying very hard to practice patience and let my own wines age awhile.)

Nothing better than good food, good wine and a great wife to share them with. ( I need to earn some brownie points don't you know )
