Tannin powder usage tips

So far I haven't used any tannin powder in my wines....and am looking for tips/tricks for possibly including it in my protocol as I get ready to start my 2nd year of vino crafting

- what brand(s) are best
- what vinos benefit most from inclusion
- when to add
- how much to add
- should it be included even if bulk aging on an oak spiral

I add 1/4 tsp/gallon to most fruit wines prior to fermentation to increase body. Any wine can benefit from additional tannin.

Brand? Whatever my LHBS carries.

Taste your wine or juice to see the tannin level before you add tannin. Some wines like Marquette need a lot of tannin, some like Cabernet don’t and most fruit wines benefit from a little addition.
