We just got back yesterday afternoon from our 2 week winery road trip!

All together we drove over 4200 miles roundtrip.

I will post pics from the RT as soon as I can organize them a bit more but I wanted to show you my haul. All total 4 cases of awesome grape juice from Napa, CA as well as Yakima Valley, Red Mountain, Horse Heaven Hills, Rattlesnake Mountain, WA. We did a alot of tasting as well as cleaning out all the Costco's in WA for some unbelievable bargains in wine that you could only find in WA state.

About half will be cellared and half is everyday stuff you can drink now. We filled every inch of the back seat with wine I think!

NICE!!!!

I hope Grgich still had that Merlot on sale.... I got some when I was there a few weeks ago. Chateau Montelena is just up the street from my buddies house. Your pictures are making me jealous!!!

Yep, I think it was only like 15$

We made the trip to Montelena as you can see. I grabbed a handful of "holy" dirt from the vineyard!

I see that SYRAH bottle there, do they also make a bottle labeled HOUSE WINE? I retrieved some bottles from the dump this weekend and there was one bottled labeled just like that with the huge letters and I just found it funny and more of like a hobby wine label.

They do!

This is the Magnificent Wine Compny

They make some really great wines at very reasonable prices. Wine Spectator rated them recently a "Best Value" wine.

It really was a great trip! We usually fly up there each year to visit family on the wife's side but this year we just decided "why not do a road trip"?

Here is the Google map of the trip!

What a great two weeks that must have been! I bet you tasted many great wines and probably a few not so memorable ones. That is all part of the experience. Can't wait to see more pictures.

holy freakin cow...good for you...that map alone shows a good trip...very happy for you

* still dont see how you had time to post here during the trip :)

I actually "cherry picked" the places we stopped at. So no bad wines, just good, better, and GREAT!

I am a little upset you didn't stop by my place to grab a couple.

Maybe next time.... looks like it was a great trip.

Ha!

iPhone while on the road and Mac Book Pro while stopped for the night/s.

Always time to find old pics of my BIF (Best Italian Friend)!

I am in Utah... I posted it on the thread you had when the planning was still in the works. I have family in Oregon and Napa!!!

We will get to it next trip.

Mike

You missed us - just due east of Fresno and could have stopped here. Would have helped you clear some of your back seat off to have room for some of mine. Would have even traded for the Thrace and Montelena - just so you could have room to have taken home a couple of full size barrels, of course.

Great great trip - glad you have a good time.

What were the Washington costco price ranges for their wines?

Glad you are home safely.

next time
