Starting a new 5 gal or so batch with 22 lbs of frozen raspberries with a hint of strawberry - about 4 lbs also frozen and from my backyard patch. It will be nice to get some room back in our freezer.

4# per gal is low if making 5 gal. Raspberry has alot of water so you need much more # per gal.
 
There are many different types of raspberries. We grow 2 types. Our wine is a mixture of both kinds and 4-5# is plenty for us. It really depends on the year too.

[I do wild black raspbery and use about 3 # per gal. Works out good.

I do leave the bag and squeeze it every day in the primary until racking and use egg white to get rid of excess tannen at the end.
