So let's just step back and take stock of what happened on Sunday..

- Giants (who were losing) battled back to a 7 point lead with 6 under 5 min remaining 49 to 42. Within the last 5 minutes, the saints tied it up and then kicked a 50 yard field goal with 5 seconds remaining! Just gut wrenching!

- Jets simply got beat and were completely outclassed..

- The Mets. My gosh, the Mets! How did these bums ever get in the world series in the first place? That was down right humiliating!

Tough day for a NY area resident and sports fan.

Ever the optimist, I say..

Go NY Rangers!

The Giants game killed me.

What was worse: FIOS sucks! We were out to lunch with some friends, so I DVR'd the game. Started watching around 3pm. Now, we are relatively new to FIOS. Previously, I'd been a DirecTV customer for over 10 years. But the convenience and lower cost of FIOS made me switch when we moved. Anyway, with DirecTV, when you go to record a sporting event, it would always mention that there is the potential for extended games, and asks if you'd like to continue recording beyond the scheduled end time. No such thing on FIOS. So I got to see the entire game, right up to the point where the Giants took the lead. Then it went off. :po There are at least a half a dozen "no brainers" like this that I've noticed in the few short months we've had FIOS. Functionality that is so simple, but so useful that you'd think nobody would consider running a cable network without them. Not so for FIOS.

Let's remember the NY Marathon happened. Pretty cool event for the city.

Oh man, that sucks! How about recording the show that comes on after the game as well? This would buy you the extra time?

You just add to my point! The marathon was won by a Kenyan, and not a new Yorker, so we lose again!

That is what I'll do from now on. Shouldn't have to 'duct tape' solutions like this together though. :w

Fair enough. I didn't see who won, just that it was being held.
