I just racked my Trinity Red to the carboy for secondary fermentation. I only have a starter wine making kit with a bucket and one carboy. I have been reading on here that it's a good idea to bulk age in the carboy for a few months. I was planning on giving that a try, so my question is after I do the stabilising and clearing stage per instructions, would it be a good idea to rack back into my bucket and then sanitise my carboy and rack it back into it or just leave it alone after the clearing process and let it age? If there is anything I am missing here I would appreciate the help.

TIA

Racking to the bucket then back to the cleaned/sanitized carboy is fine. Be sure you have a red wine to use to top up after you rack.

Peace,
Bob
