There is a packet that says kristalblok in my chardonnay kit, and thats all it says along with read instructions on the packet. But in the instructions it doesnt say anything about it and was wondering what it is along with when and if i need to add the packet.
thanks

Can't help you but have you tried contacting the kit company?

Jake, if you look on line at the Mosti Mondiale web site, there is an updated sheet of instructions which references the Kristalblok. It is added after the wine has cleared and is ready to bottle and is meant to inhibit the formation of "wine diamonds" (Potassium Bitartrate crystals).

Here is a link: http://mostimondiale.com/InstructionVNRERMEng&Fr.pdf

It help prevents crystals from forming when you chill your wine. If you don't want to use it I recommend you Cold Stabilize your wine.

I have the same kit in secondary right now. I called George who said to add the kristolblock at bottling. Just to stir it in after final racking prior to bottling.
