VC Plastic carboys

I had recently looked at a picture of some wine aging in plastic carboys. I saw this picture right after reading a post about topping up..

Then a thought occurred to me..

Has anyone had the idea of making a strap or belt to go around the middle of a plastic carboy to cinch it? This would squeeze the carboy, thus reducing its volume to reduce excess headspace.

To a certain degree, wouldn't that make your carboy VC??

Not stupid at all. It was discussed many years ago when you were still in diapers before joining this group. LOL
