Vintner's Harvest 3gal Recipe VS. 5gal, anyone tried both?

I got a can of this and on the back has a 3gal and a 5gal recipe, both call for using the whole can of fruit.

Which one should I go with? Is there a big difference between the two?

TIA

Thanks Dan, that's what I was leaning towards.

Should it still need an F-pac? Or just back sweeten when done?

I currently have a batch of VH black currant going, I used the 3 gal recipe based on advice here. It has not finished just yet but it is getting close. It got stuck back around March-ish and I had to restart it using 1118 yeast. When it was stuck it still had A LOT of black currant to it but I have not tasted it lately. But I am not sure it will need an fpac based on what it tasted like a couple months ago. Not having to fpac I think might be one of the benefits of the 3 gal recipe vs 5 gal. FWIW paulc

I've made one batch of VH (I still have a can of raspberry I haven't used yet).

I made a 3g BB and I thought it finished very thin. I happened to have some BB concentrate so I added that for sweetener - a premade fpac.

I haven't tried it again yet, but I'm hopeful.

Anyway, for BB, I would NOT do more than 3g. In fact, I will prolly use the raspberry for a mead and not use VH again. The value isn't there for me.

I did a 5 gallon with the cranberry, it turned out more like a Rose. It isn't bad, but not very much cranberry flavor. I would go for the 3 gallon..
