Awesome Joan! I will be entering some of mine this year also for the first time.

Congratulations Joan! Great accomplishment there and we are all proud of you! I just can't seem to get into Elderberry myself, but the Chocolate Raspberry Port is always good!

But have you tried Joan's Elderberry? It really wasnt far from Black Currant.

No, I haven't tried it yet Wade. Maybe if Joan needs some grapes this fall and I can drag her up here kicking and screaming to get some, I can get her to let me try a taste. I am judging the elderberry on what I made. It is sort of like the Black Currant in that it can be overpowering if too strong- that may be my problem. I had(and have) tons of elderberries so I probably used too many in mine!

Hey Joanie Girl- need any grapes this fall?

Short, concise, I like it!

I am really sunburned tonight, I was putting netting on at Willsboro today. It didn't go on as fast as last year. We had temps close to 90 today and an absolute lack of volunteers to help! They are all on now although I need to close the bottoms a bit better now, but I digress. Again congrats Joan on your wines. It really makes me proud for you. I love it!

Hers was not over powering and I tend to like my wines sweeter but this was very good.

What venue did you have your wines entered in Joan ? Was this at the Olympics ?

Did I miss a post somewhere ?
Congratulations !!!!!

I don't think I posted about it so you didn't miss anything, Waldo. I entered them at our state fair.

Joan,

I hadn't been online since early on Friday - here's a well-deserved congratulations!

- Jim
