what web site can a person get premium natural corks for very long term storage , bare minimum of 10 or 15 years, I[m having what's called around here a root cellar dug, but it'll be for long term wine storage' even longer if I live longer .. I grew up drinking 10 year old elderberry wine an never new how spoiled I'd become until the last of the old timers died. I drink most my other country wines at 1 to 2 years. but not my elderberry.:?

thank you in advance

I buy my #9s from Amazon. I would think a big part of long storage of wine, goes beyond the cork. Temperature + humidity + dark storage + maybe some rotation, etc.

yes, that's what the root cellar I'm digging will be for, underground the temp is cool an steady, total darkness, I'll put a raised floor an a roof plate a couple feet under ground, then back fill all extra dirt on top, I'm thinking a 3x3x10 foot hole in front with a ladder set in it, and a cover door over the entrance. built on a hillside with entrance on lower side so the over fill will route the water around the entrance shaft.
that's more or less the way they did it eons ago.
thank you
richard
