Around 1.010 SG as of 4 PM, 10% alcohol

There seems to be an area of almost completely white bubbles on the side of my fermentation carboy, any idea on if this could be an issue or not?

Did open air fermentation for about 48 hours, then popped on and airlock at 4 PM when I did my SG measurement

I did see this thread with discussion of something somewhat similar, along with another thread linked to within that thread with something visibly similar to what I et got, though my white foam covers more surface area then what I saw there

It should not be an issue. My guess is older foam picked up lee particles, giving it a redder tint. Newer foam picked up less lee particles, giving it a more whiter appearance.

As Bob said, you should be OK. Your side view picture in “post a photo” looks normal.

One of the first reactions we have is show me the close up picture, I normally ferment things from the garden and get foam which is brown to light beige. I would consider white foam more normal than pink, Pink I would ask questions about. When I see pinkish color it is usually a mold related thing that stayed in the fridge too long. BUT,, You are in a primary / very early ,, ,, and anaerobic / molds like oxygen ,, ,, so your process changes sound good.

My juice bucket red wines, I usually give a pretty good stir 2-3 times per day. That kicks up sediment and results in a pink/red foam. Only near the end of fermentation does that foam subside, so I expect pink/red foam for my wines. It also depends on the yeast as some foam more than others.
