It's that time again...The annual neighborhood Wine & Bovine/Wine Tasting Event.

The WINE....

There were 2 carboys in another room....the usual 1 gallon jar carafe...as well as a few wines from neighbors.....Seems this crowd mostly were sucking on the keg of homemade beer...

The BOVINE.....

I've never been able to bring myself enough courage to try those calf fries but they do look good

Ramona.....Yes, this is the party where last year there was 4 carboys on the table with siphon hoses going to gallon jars as the carafes.....it was good incentive to drink more. This year there were 2 carboys in the other room and there was the usual 1 gallon jars as carafes....I think that's why people drank more beer from the keg this year.

I had a dead battery on my camera so didn't get good photos...

Waldo, it's just 'meat' from young tender calves, still nursing the mother cow....They taste like Chicken Fried Steak.

I know that Scotty, just making an example of strange foods that lots of people are scared to eat because of what they are!

Come on down to Louisiana. We got some good stuff to try. Crawfish would be the first one. Turtle would also be really good for ya. And alligator mmm mmm mmm.............

We have crawfish here to but they are much smaller and wouldnt even be worth the work to try. I would love to try all that stuff and am not afraid of trying most foods except for some of that stuff I see on Andrew Zimmerman's show Weird Foods on Travel Channel. Some people just eat some strange stuff. If you have never seen this show it is not for the weak stomach!!!!!

Yeah, I watch it. He has a cast iron stomach except for durian fruit. A lot of the stuff he tried I wouldn't eat unless I was starving. Those calf fries that Northern has look like mini chicken fried steak, serve it with a white gravy dipping sauce and I'll be there.

That would work too, you would need the biscuit to sop up the extra gravy
