wine cooler

Hello everyone
I want to buy a wine cooler for 200 bottles or so, I don't have a basement (live in so California) weather is warm most of the time, but also I don't want to spend a couple of thousands bucks
So a buddy of mine has a flower refrigerator and a snapple vending machine that i can get for free, I can adjust the temperature to about 55 degres
You guys think that can work well in the garage, did you guys ever hear of something like that or Im loosing my mind (may be too late for that)
any help would be great

Sounds ok but I would monitor the humidity to make sure its within reason.

I would consider applying rigid foam to all non vented surfaces to save on energy and to keep prying eyes off.

Sounds like a sweet idea to me, with that and a de-humidifier, what is the electricity cost gonna be? Any way to down size a flower cooler depending on size?
