Wine making help

I have 9 pounds of triple berry fruit. Blackberry, Raspberry, and blueberry. At first I was going to make more dragon blood. Now I am wondering if I should order some kind of cheap wine kit and use the berry‘s for it. Or is there some other way to use them to make a good wine? I don’t always make the best decision in my wine making journey and could use lots of help.

A lot of folks here make fruit wine, so I'm sure they'll be right along to help. Your suggestion is also valid. Well, I've found that poor decisions often product good future batches.

I think 9 lbs would make a fine DB. It's a safe choice with good results.

I used 10 lbs for my second DB and will use the same amount (or more!) in future batches and I really liked the result.

I'm curious - do you want to experiment or were you unhappy with your DB?

As I remember the DB was very good. It has been bulk aging in the carboy for maybe a month or a little more. I guess i should bottle some and give it a good taste test now. I have done a peach DB also. Just experimenting i guess….

@Billdean with 9 pounds of fruit, I think a 5 or 6 gallon batch will be just fine.

Keep the basic triple berry wine as it is. I have made around 12 batches of triple berry (dragon blood) and being loved by many of my friends.
