For people that made the Zinfandel Forte Finer Wine Kit, I was wondering how close the Gnarly Head old vine Zinfandel Is to it. I like the Gnarly head old vine zine. I was thinking about making one of the FWK if it taste close.

I've had Gnarly Head before, but it was a long time ago, so I can't tell you if it's close to that. But I can say that I took a bottle of this to the wine club I belong to last night and it got rave reviews. This was the Tavola level. I have some of the Forte type aging in my basement, in bottles and it is very good.

I would like to say it’s pretty close. We enjoy Gnarly Head here as well. I think it’s a little jammier than the FWK Forte. The Forte didn’t last long I have to say, it was a favorite.

I’ve never had the Gnarly Head, but I will say the FWK Forte Zin is one of, if not the best kit I’ve made in the past 2 years. That said, I’ve got a Tavola Zin in aging for about 4 months and am looking forward to bottling and drinking in a few more months.
