    Black Rot?

Generally speaking Captan should not be used early season after any oils have been used especially if temperatures get above 80 F. Mancozeb is safe at that time.

Fungicides, Pesticides, and mixing it up.

Yes to all of it. Just be aware that Rally controls powdery mildew and a couple other things where the Mancozeb and Captan control other things but not good for powdery mildew.

Dark spots on some PS clusters, but not on CS clusters?

I agree that it looks like Black Rot. Did you spray the vines at all this year and if so what was used? It is best to try to keep this out of your vines even when young because it is hard to get rid of once established.

    Black Rot?

If those had black rot showing (I don't think so) the leaves would also show it. To me it looks like spray damage probably from the captan. Had you applied an oil spray of any type early season with a month or so of the captan? If so that is likely what caused it. A dormant spray of stylet...

    Black spots

Rally (myclobutanil) does work well but you should not use this or any other fungicide in it's class more than two times per year. Alternate it out with another fungicide to help prevent resistance buildup.

    Black spots

The picture is not very good for detail but I do not believe it is black rot at all. That affects the foliage first with small yellowish areas on the leaves turning brown and eventually the spores develop on the fruit and they get a generally rotted and dried out appearance. It looks like the...

    Trellis question

Balatonwine has a good point with staple placement especially in a softer post wood. I agree about the black locust. We had some posts on the farm that had been in for close to 50 years and still holding up well.

    Grape disease?

Powdery mildew is sensitive to sunlight so opening the foliage up will help get rid of it and you can beef up the protective sprayings as needed. Wayne Wilcox at Cornell has done studies showing how sunlight is effective at killing PM.

    Summer pruning

Being that old, you may definitely get rid of shoots that are in the way.

    Summer pruning

You haven't given enough information yet to give you a proper answer. How old are they and what type of training system are you using? When did you have budbreak?

    Trellis question

When I first began I drilled through the posts like you mention. That is fine until the post rots off and there is no way to get the wire back out of the post without great difficulty. I have had to put in a new post near the original and just leave the rotted off post. I use large fence...

    Trellis question

Store names vary from region to region and you may need to check out a few to find what you want. Here Tractor Supply is common and they carry several sizes and lengths. Don't worry about the name of the post as long as it is what you want.

    Glyphosate damaged cordons

garymc that is a generic message and is not personalized for your case. You could try again and see if it works. Sometimes the file extension isn't an approved type.

    Grape disease?

You have a case of powdery mildew going on. I assume you rarely see this where you are because it is normally dry.

    Glyphosate damaged cordons

You probably should bite the bullet and replace them as I don't believe those leaves will ripen the fruit well.

    Trellis question

Watch the landscape timbers- they only last a few years. Well treated round fence posts are better. Get about 6 inch by 9 feet for the ends and you can get away with 5 inch by 8 feet for inlne posts. Yes Top-wire will work for those varieties. Tractor supply usually has them and sometimes...

Vigorous Growth of Head Trained Canes?

Welcome to my world of dealing with plentiful rainfall and vigorous growing vines. Around here I need to leave more shoots per spur and extra clusters to soak up some of that vigor you are dealing with. Later I go back and get rid of excess shoots and some clusters once the vine slows down...

    Frozen and Lost Buds

I am with NDEngineer on this one. Keep you options open with a shoot or to as a trunk replacement if needed. If the cordons recover then you can remove the spare shoots later but if it doesn't then you need to wait for it to begin from shoots again.

    Frozen and Lost Buds

That tends to be a problem with Marquette some places. It begins to grow and if any late frosts come, the buds freeze. I would let them grow and see what will grow back. If they don't adequately regrow, then cut the trunks back and bring them up again.

DIthane safe to use on Concord Grapes?

You probably have multiple problems causes the grapes demise. As far as I know dithane does not hurt Concord. It will help protect from Black Rot, Phomopsis and Downy Mildew since it is a mancozeb product. It does not protect against Powdery Mildew and must be discontinued 66 days before harvest.
