    not sure if this has been covered or not but for my yeast nutrient, I used DAP and for yeast energizer, I user Fermaid-K - does that sound correct?

    So I get home and take a hydro reading 1.120 down from 1.123 this morning. However no real foam. Temp on fermometer is 72f.

    Coming from beer making, I use PBW (OxyClean Free) to clean and StarSan to sanitize. Are these products alright to use in wine making? Thanks!

    I checked and I used the bentonite packet. I am going to try Deezil's instructions to create a yeast starter. Hope that works!

    Well, that tactic got the gravity down to 1.134 :| I will be trying the yeast starter tactic next. If that doesn't work - I am not sure what to do.

    Before I read this post I decided to aerate the wort some and I believe I got some fermentation but no real airlock activity. I will check the SG this evening to see if it went down at all. If not, I will attempt the yeast starter.

    SG is still 1.140. I pitched 1116 as well the first time. How do I make a starter for wine? That's ok even if you are using dry yeast? Is this batch salvageable?
