Where, when you are together with everyone....you all get in front of the </font>tree</font> and snap a picture to </font>post here</font> </font>so
we can all share in your family fun and Christmas spirit and see what
your Christmas is like....whether"rowdy" and "crazy"...Serene and
Peaceful...Simple or Extravagant, the two of you or the twelve of
you....we don't care.....it will be our way of being together.....</font>

What do you all think?</font>

It was a fantastic idea and a great success, I would like to continue it this year and have it be a forum tradition.

We started decorating today, stopping once in a while for a turkey sandwich.......

We put up our tree:

And for the first time in 3 years, was able to finish it off, the right way............. Boy, did it feel good to have my ol' friend back:

Then we went out in the cold.... (45 degrees) and decorated the front yard (threw some stuff out there) and the garland on the porch porch:

That will be fine swill.

Good idea to keep this going but we don't even think about putting up a tree until 2 weeks before Xmas.

No Christmas decorations up yet...tho....I set out some lighted 'trees' for Thanksgiving....our yard is pretty dark...so that way our guests could find their cars on Thanksgiving night....some guests had a hard time finding their cars even with the lights.

This may sound tacky...but....here is an easy wire frame for an Outdoor Christmas 'Tree'

Take a large wire tomato cage....turn it upside down...tie the wire ends together [they are the wires that you push into the ground] Tie a cheap Christmas net-light over the frame...plug into cord...put on timer switch. I have them all over the yard...[till the dogs chew them up]. Look nice at night..."Nice from far...far from nice"...during the day they aren't attractive.Edited by: Northern Winos

Being as we have snow now...and the days are ticking by...I put up our humble little Christmas tree...

Now I can begin the Christmas cards and get the last boxes filled and mailed off....Time passes quickly this time of the year. Edited by: Northern Winos

I really enjoyed everyone's pictures last year. I'll be leaving tomorrow to Richmond, Va so willl probably have pictures with my sisters that I can share since we will have a little Christmas with them and posslibly my Dad too. Then when I get back to Houston will get ready for my Christmas here and more pics. Will post when I get back.....NW I love your humble tree. This year mine maybe a Norfolk pine. I want to keep it simple.
Looking forward to seeing everyone! RamonaEdited by: rgecaprock

THAT IS THE BEST WAY I'VE SEEN TO DEAL WITH GROLSCH BOTTLES EVAR!!!!!!

I'd so like to do this, but it would take me the better part of a year to do this without help. It would be a fun year though!
