I received a package from the hills of Minnesota. Hamann Hills to be exact and in the package were bottles and jars of goodies from my friend Northern Winos.

There were two bottles of her wine marinades (A Apple-Jalapeno wine& aGarlic Wine) Then there was the bottle of her famous "Neighborhood Chokecherry" wine that I have been wanting to try and a jar of Chokecherry Pancake Syrup

What madethis shipment be dubbed the "Just In Time Delivery" was the jar of " Oh My God Thats Good" Chokecherry Pancake syrup because this morning was the annual Pancake day fundraiser held by the Salem Volunteer Fire Department.

Just give me your money and go eat all the pancakes and suasage you want

And now folks you know why the jar of syrup was not full when I got around to taking the pictures for this post.
Will let the bottle of wine rest for a couple of days fom its trip before I try it. Can't wait to try the Marinades too.

Thanks NW & Jim

Boy Waldo, that sure looks good. Nice to have great friends. Let us know what you think about the wine.

Glad you are enjoying it.....
Now...Eat...Drink and be Merry...

Cool thing...I just am in the process of setting up a new computer and this was the first page I brought up.

Life is Good!!!!

New computer, that can be such a hassle what operating system does it have in it?

Congrats on the great new computer NW. Have fun with it.

Waldo that sure does look good. Hope you enjoy it as much as NW does in making it!

What a wonderful package to receive in the nick of time.

Looks very good Waldo.

This set up hasn't been as bad as I thought...

Wade...I had Windows XP before, this has Windows Vista Home Premium....I had just helped a friend set up her first computer and it had Windows Vista as well and hers was so different than this....I like this version, it is much like XP was...

The old 'dog' just was so slow and over loaded...Jim couldn't handle it any more...think he'll like this if I ever let him sit here.

Set it up on the dinning room table last night and installed a few old favorites...Then, today added a few more things...Then came time to hook it up to go OnLine.....So, at the moment the old one is still on the computer table and this one is sitting on the box it came in beside the desk........Still have a few more treasures to recover off of the old one.

This wasn't a top of the line...From Sam's Club....Just an HP SlimLine [small tower]...Desk Top...4 GB System Memory and 600GB Hard Drive....impressive to me....but, I am easy to please....Seems nice and smooth when there is nothing in it ...yet!!!!!

So, will be playing for awhile yet to get it set up....FUN!!!!
Life is Good!!!!

That syrup is absolutely awesome, very fruity with a bit of tartness to it that makes you wanna lick your plate. I cant think of anything right off hand that I can compare it to except maybe a Blueberry/Blackberry mix with a little kick

That's a dinosaur in the tech world............

MMM MMM Pancakes, making me want some............ Pass that syrup please Waldo......

That syrup is pretty good, a tad tart by itself...Don't use much sugar when I made it. Usually pour some on as well as some regular or maple syrup....

Ummm....Sunday Morning...Jim is cooking pancakes right now...
Am I lucky or what????

We will enjoy one of these bottles before we leave on our trip....
The other will have to wait....

Next week...Will be on an actual vacation...
Then, will be on a 'Wine Vacation' when we return as I begin Chemo again the day we get home....
No wine for me for awhile....But, once I am back on track will enjoy the other bottle from 'The Cat's Meow'....

Thanks again....Waldo, a very special person!
