A Salty batch of wine?!?

Can you post your recipe and steps that you did.

It will help out a lot in debugging the problem.
 
I didn't go by a recipe really... just used concord grape juice from the bottle added a couple cups of sugar, pre-started a culter added it 15 min. later. I didn't use any sulfites because there is already some in it. hope this helps.
 
Did you sulfite every 3 months of aging?

What do you mean by pre started a culter?
 
I have only heard of too much sodium metabisulfate causing salty flavors...

You didn't add any water that came from a water softener did you?
 
I also have noticed a saltier flavor in my cheap concentrate wines, my parents do it the same way and dont seem to notice anything. I think i just blame mine on cheap ingredients but i wish i had another possibility.
