Mosti Mondiale All Juice Red Zin in primary 48hrs not doing much?

Hi, this is my 4th kit. I started this one Monday, now Wednesday. It doesn't seem to have the same activity as the other kits I have done, no real bubbles, orsurface swirling movement.I follow all instructions to a Tand sterilize everything. What gives?Am I justworrying over nothing? I'd hate for this one tobe messed up as the kits arenot cheap.


I had the proper water temp for both bentonite and yeast mixures....


Thoughts? Do I need to just chill and ck SG in few more days (or now)?

Go on and check the SG. While you are at it put your ear close and listen. Do you here a fizzing sound? You should if the yeast are working. Not all kits will ferment the same. Some can be very active and others just quietly hum along. As long as the SG is dropping you and the wine are in good shape.

Starting SG was 1.080, now at 1.074. Room and must constant 74 degrees.

Did this come with PremierCuvee yeast?That would explain it if it did, very low foaming, just a sizzling sound.

If its fermenting then you are fine, some just act differently.

When I checked the bucket again last night, it was nice and foamy on the top.....yum
