discovered this little tidbit while trying to degass a stubborn root beer wine.

If you start with the headspace eliminator, and use the valve to reduce the “draw” to where it is just bringing the bubbles up but not creating so many it gets into the vacuum tube you can run it a bit and when the bubbles start subsiding close the valve just a little to keep the bubbles running about the same level you can keep doing this and in just a bit (this 6.5 gallon batch took 30 to 40 min to completely degass.

Now saying this I must admit that I did modify my AIO, I added a computer fan to it to aid in heat reduction.

Can’t see mine, it’s mounted on the inside with just holes showing.

That's how I degassed my last couple batches. but I let it run for about 15 minutes then let it set for about 15. Mine were 5 gallon batches and it might have taken 3 cycles.

I always find that my normal three or four, maybe five rackings under vacuum that I do in my normal wine making just takes care of the issue. I don't do much other than that. Maybe stiring, frequently during fermentation helps or something.
