Welcome BMW and Oiln (Big Sky Guys)

My sister and family are in Billings after years in Hardin. It is always a treat
to visit big sky country for me

If you keep a cool house, a heating pad is just the thing to keep your
fermenting containers around 70 degrees just for the few short days needed
during primary fermentation. When you get to the degassing stage you'll
want to get the wine up to that temperature again to facilitate removing
CO2.

I am using a brew belt for the first time myself. Gas prices both are high this winter. And the air lock is ticking nicly om thje prim fermeter.

The yeasties are happy now.

I sure HOPE the "yeasties" are happy -- I'm using the heating pad with less trepidation now, especially after seeing earlier postings on other parts of the forum that I missed. But I'm keeping the lid closed and not disturbing the must -- last reading night before was 70F so I'm sure it's doing fine. (I'm learning PATIENCE!)
