I'm in New Jersey, but it is too cold to grow Malbec. Any grape or wine tastes like Malbec for the stronger and dark wine?

I enjoy Malbec quite a bit and a couple months ago tasted my first bottle of Marquette from River Bend in Chippewa Falls, WI. Really Good! Bought a couple bottles so my sisters could try as they also like dry reds and loved by all. I believe Grapeman has quite a bit of experience growing the Marquette grapes, which are a cold hardy I believe developed by the U of MN. I've been thinking of trying to grow some of those as well as the Marechal Foch. I've tried some blends with the Foch that were real good.

I like the strong and dark, full bodied red wines. I've compiled a list of 20 red win grapes and I'll read the reviews on them.
