So this town I recently moved to in PA, Wellsboro, has a small health food store with a very small home brewing section. I was able to order and receive two WE kits, a 16L Chilean Malbec for $124.99US and an 18L with grape skins Italian Amarone for $149.99US. Would you consider this reasonable pricing? Back in CT I was buying 18L RJS WS kits with grape skins for $125.00.

Would on-line shopping be a better way to go or would shipping costs eat up any savings I might have on the kits themselves?

Thanks...

BTW, kits had date codes indicating kits were ~5 month old. I was happy with that as after I had ordered I was concerned about receiving kits that were old.

I agree with Brian. I use our sponsor, Label Peelers and I live in Ohio, where they are located. Sometimes I have the order shipped and sometimes if I am buying a lot, I drive up to Kent, Ohio. (I have a lot of time on my hands!)

In your case, you would save a few bucks dealing with Label Peelers ($138.08 for the Amarone and $119.80 for the Malbec, delivered to Zip Code 16901) and you would get a cool t-shirt.

I think that if I order 2-3 kits at a time plus some supplies the shipping cost likely becomes a moot point.

Actually about a $25.00 savings had I ordered from Label Peelers! [124.99 + 149.99 = $274.98 vs $250.04]

Hi Bill....!!!!

I can almost bet that it will always be cheaper if you order online from LP, for WE kits.
I know you like RJS, I wish LP would carry that brand...
