A husband goes for his monthly checkup at the doctor's and bring his wife along. The doctor performs his usual barrage of tests over the course of several hours. When the doctor completed his tests and reviewed the results he asked to speak to the man's wife in private.
Once alone, the wife was understandable concerned. "Is it something serious" asked the wife.
"Well", said the doctor, "I wanted to speak to you privately. You husband has a very rare disease and will surly die within 6 months".
Shocked, the wife says "Are you sure that there isn't anything that I can do?".
"Yes" said the doctor. "Here is what you can do each day to keep you husband alive.. Get up each morning and cook him breakfast. Then while he is at work clean the house from top to bottom. When your husband comes home, greet him at the door with a martini. Cook him a fantastic dinner, then make love to him before he goes to sleep."
"This would save his life. Remember that you will need to do this each and every day".
"Thank you" said the wife as she left.
On the drive home, the husband asked "so what did the doctor say?".
Weeping, the wife says "you are gonna die in 6 months!".
