No, I almost bought the cans, but then I realized that they had salt added to them. I had the cans in my arms, and read the label, and put them all back. I went to the organic section of the grocery store and got fresh beets.
I washed them, then heated them up in some water, but the mushy, but not thoroughly cooked beets in the blender. Pulverized them. Poured the mush into a straining bag, added the beet water, sugar, etc into the primary and when it was cool enough, added the yeast (Montrachet).
