I made up a mix of Bentonite to start a batch of Blackberry three days ago. I thought I would Save time and go ahead and put the Sulphite crush in the mix also. I made everything up and had to go out of town before I got the batch made. Does anyone have any advice on whether to dump the Bentonite and Sulphite or Start over???? I will say that I have kept it covered with a plastic lid. Thanks for any help

The sulfite might not be active anymore, but I would imagine that the bentonite is still fine. If it were my wine, I'd probably put it in there. The solution was protected by the sulfite. If the lid was tightly on the solution, you're probably still okay. If there was a lot of contact to air, you might want to add a pinch of k-meta to be safe.

Three days? I'm sure it is fine. Thats not that long. If it were 2 weeks or so I would make another batch but, a week or so isn't 'that long'. I would go with Martina and use it.

I agree with Martina and rshosted ...I think it will be just fine

Thanks for all the input!

Martina, What do you mean by a pinch of K-Meta?? I added a 1/2 tsp of K-meta powder. That may have been extreme.....
